Middlezoy-based festival Dizfest is back for its fifth year on Saturday, July 27.

Bands, soloists and tribute acts are lined up for what's predicted to be an unmissable family friendly night.

The festival, entirely run by volunteers, is a mix of great music, community spirit and affordable with tickets priced at just £15.

The best thing - under-16s can enter free and camping pitches are provided at no extra cost.

The profits gained from the event will benefit Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB) and Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, offering a chance for attendees to support their local community.

BBC Radio's Andy Bennett will host the event with acts including Ultimate Abba, Electric Light Orchestra Encounter, bands Wrecking Ball, Galaxy Thief, Taya and Illicit.

Festival organiser, Dave Jennings said: "the whole thing started as a divorce party years ago, and then after a year or two, we actually started making a little bit of money for charity and it’s just gone on from there.

"It’s great to have a few bands largely from the south-west area to make it a proper evening and raise a few quid."

There's more than music at Dizfest with good food, a fully stocked bar, a silent disco and fairground games to keep the whole family entertained.

So make the most of a day filled with music and memories at Orchard Farm.
