A PREMISES previously home to a florist in Bridgwater could soon become a new restaurant and takeaway.
Mr A Ulgut has applied to change the use of the ground floor of 2 Eastover from a retail unit to a new hot food restaurant and takeaway.
The premises was formerly the home of Flowers International, which has since moved to a new location on the High Street.
Although specifics of the type of eatery are not made clear in the planning application, it is confirmed that it would create five jobs, and open seven days per week between 11am and 10pm.
Some small alterations are proposed for the building, which include changing the elevations for disabled access and lowering of windowsills, as well as new upper floor windows, disabled access door, and rear doors.
For more information on the plans, search reference number 08/24/00105 on Somerset Council's online planning portal.
Comments on the application are welcomed, and public consultation remains open until Tuesday, August 27 - a decision could be made from the following day.
