BRIDGWATER business Hippychick took part in a 25km charity walk and raised over £2,300 for Musgrove Park Hospital.
The event, which took place on July 19, smashed its initial target of £1,000, with all proceeds going directly to the paediatric department.
Founders Jeremy and Julia Minchin led the walk across the Quantocks, from their former home and original Hippychick headquarters at Barford Gables, Spaxton, to Nether Stowey, along various renowned paths, including Coleridge Way.
The walk lasted a total of eight hours on the hottest day of the year, with three short breaks for drinks and ice cream.
Before the walk got underway, Ms Minchin said: "When I started the business our home became more a labour of love than an abode of love, and quickly became Hippychick’s nerve centre as the business grew from a small seed."
