Polden Bower School has teamed up with Somerset Skills and Learning to host an adult learning open day on August 12.
The Bridgwater-based school invites parents, carers, guardians, and school staff residing in Somerset to explore the learning opportunities it offers.
These include maths confidence building workshops aimed at reducing maths anxiety and promoting positive mindset, functional skills maths qualifications for levels 1 and 2.
The school plans to provide maths skills for everyday budgeting, shopping tips and teaching assistant specific sessions or the maths skills needed to become a teaching assistant.
There will be specific sessions based on year groups or topics, like preparation for exams and using a scientific calculator.
The school also embedded origami and other craft activities into the maths lessons, and is preparing to launch LEGO and Vinted sessions.
