FANS of classic and vintage vehicles will be treated to the Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Show this August.

The Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Show will display over 500 classic and vintage vehicles, from motorcycles to Mustangs.

Hosted by the Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Club, all of the proceeds from the day will be donated to the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and other worthwhile local causes.

Taking place on the weekend of August 10 and 11 at Morganians Rugby Club in Chedzoy Lane, Bridgwater, the show will also display full-size steam traction engines and 1/14th scale, fully working radio-controlled trucks.

There will also be lots of other fun activities for the whole family, including a Punch & Judy show, face painting, bouncy castles and trade and craft stalls.

One of the main attractions of the show will occur on Sunday with a flypast from the iconic Second World War bomber, the Avro Lancaster (subject to weather and operational conditions. There is currently no set time for this flypast).

The four-engine, heavy bomber, of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF), dominated the night skies during the war and is one of only two remaining flying examples in the world.

Subject to weather and operational conditions, there has been no time set for this flypast as of yet.

Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Club is still accepting applications from classic car owners and anyone who is interested in getting involved with the show can contact them by sending an email to bcvc2015@gmail.com.
