CONSTRUCTION works for the delivery of Bridgwater's Celebration Mile project in the town centre will begin later this month.
Bridgwater Town Council has revealed three - Eastover, East Quay and Salmon Parade - key roads within the town centre - are set for roadworks and closures as a result.
Initial restrictions on the three roads will begin this week, with two-way and four-way traffic lights in place between Church Street and the Town Bridge from Monday, August 5, until Friday, August 16.

A spokesperson for the town council said: "The restrictions will take place Monday to Friday between 07:30am and 4:30pm and will be limited to only the carriageway and footway necessary to safely carry out the early survey works required for Celebration Mile."
Following this, from Saturday, August 19 until November, a full road closure on Eastover between Broadway and Church Street will be in place as the main construction work gets under way.
Access to Church Street will be maintained using two-way traffic lights via Eastover in an east direction.
