THE family of a man who tragically died in a collision on the A38 Taunton Road in Bridgwater earlier this month have thanked the public for paying their respects.
Police have revealed the motorcyclist who died in the collision - which also involved a car - was Lee Mainwaring, aged 54.
Police were called to the scene by the ambulance service at 9.30am.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, Lee sadly died at the scene.
Police closed a stretch of the A38 between the Huntworth Business Park roundabout and the Showground Road/Stockmoor Drive roundabout after the collision, and put out an appeal for witnesses, which remains ongoing.
In a message to the public, members of Lee's family said: “We would like thank everybody for their kind words, cards and flowers.
"Lee will be hugely missed.”
If you have any information, call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5224203431, or complete an online appeals form.
