BRITISH boxing legend Tony Bellew is coming to Bridgwater for a special event this summer.

PLM Events and Park Lane Memorabilia are bringing the "ferociously honest and entertaining" live speaker to The Blake Hall on Friday, September 27.

Mr Bellew, 41, competed from 2007 to 2018 and now works as a boxing analyst and commentator.

He retired with an impressive record of 30 wins from 34 professional bouts.

Mr Bellew's career included numerous amateur titles and the WBC cruiserweight belt.

He also took part in various popular reality TV shows, including I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! in 2023 and Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins in 2022.

An event spokesperson said: "Get prepared to be shocked and inspired - Tony speaks from the heart.

"Speaking truthfully about his career, leaving nothing to your imagination about the reality of a life in boxing.

"From missing the mark in two world title challenges, to becoming the WBC World Cruiserweight Champion, his two famous fights with David Haye, and facing the iconic Oleksander Usyk in his final bout.

"As a true British boxing great, an evening with Tony presents attendees the opportunity to hear what it’s really like to climb the ranks in one of the most unforgiving sports on the planet."

The evening will kick off at 7pm, with doors opening at 6.30pm.

Guests will be welcomed to spend time listening to Tony Bellew’s stories from in and out of the squared circle.

This event is strictly a no photographs or recordings show, with a smart casual dress code.

What to expect on the evening includes photo opportunities with the boxing star, a live on-stage interview with him, and a live audience-led Q&A.

There will also be an auction and raffle of boxing memorabilia.

VIP tickets are £60, offering priority seating, a professional photo with Bellew, and more.

Silver tickets are £35, which offers theatre-style seating and an opportunity to purchase a photograph with Mr Bellew after the VIPs have had theirs taken.
