A YOGA studio with a twist near Bridgwater is celebrating its first birthday after a successful year of “mastering new heights”.
Arty Attic Aerial Skills opened at The Goat Shed, located at West House Farm in Chilton Polden, on September 9, 2023.
Owner Jules Holder decided to launch the business after taking part in aerial yoga classes in Street, which she enjoyed so much that she decided to learn to teach when her instructor moved away.
Her studio offers ‘flying yoga’, using silks and traditional poses to promote a full-body workout and boost clients' health and confidence.
It also helps improve flexibility, balance and muscle strength.
The studio has grown to include several more classes to cater to the ability levels of Jules' community of ‘upside-downers’.
Reflecting on her first 12 months, Jules said: “What an amazing year it’s been!
“From mastering new heights to building a strong, supportive community, this journey has been nothing short of incredible.
“Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this adventure – your dedication and passion have made this dream soar!
“When we started the Arty Attic in September 2023, we only offered Beginner Aerial Yoga.
“Now, a year on, we have Complete Beginner, Beginner Plus and Intermediate classes and incorporated the incredible low-impact, high-cardio Bungee Fitness, Parent and Baby Aerial Hammock Yoga for 0-12 months and Aerial Antics Kids Club (Mondays and Wednesdays, 4.30-5.30pm).
“We are truly blessed and excited for the coming months ahead. Here’s to many more years of flying high together!”
Classes at Arty Attic run in weekly blocks, ranging from five weeks (£45) to seven weeks (£65).
Jules also offers corporate events and team building days and packages for hen parties or birthdays, which include use of The Goat Shed's swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi.
