RESIDENTS of Stockmoor Lodge nursing home in Bridgwater visited Monkton Elm Garden Centre last week to enjoy a generous gift thanks to the family of a late resident.
The trip to was kindly funded by the family of Janet, a late resident of Stockmoor Lodge who sadly passed away. To remember Janet, the residents decided to purchase a red rose, a cultivar she was especially fond of. In a fitting tribute to Janet, the rose is called ‘Disco Queen’.
A spokesperson for Stockmoor Lodge said: “We are ever so grateful to Janet’s loved ones for funding our travel in her memory. We adored wandering through the beautiful autumnal displays and even catching a glimpse of the first signs of Christmas magic peeking through.”
“The fresh air and lovely displays certainly worked up our appetites, and we topped it all off with a delicious lunch that everyone enjoyed. A heart-warming day of enjoyment, good food and fond memories.”
