DRIVERS are being advised of delays on the A38 at Pawlett as contractors Kiely Bros work on redressing the road.

Stop/Go boards will be in place over the next three days starting on Tuesday, October 8 until Thursday, October 10.

Travel Somerset said: "They will be applying the ‘KielyLock’ treatment to further protect the highway for years to come."

"These works are highly weather dependent and rain will mean they need to be suspended so a three-day window to complete the works have been allocated.

"However the works should only take a day between 09:30am to 3.30pm to complete. Keep an eye on socials here for up to date info."

KielyLock is a Road Surface Treatment used with the traditional Surface Dressing process. The primary function of the treatment is to “Lock” the chipping into the road surface, which stops the ingress of water, and resultant damage to the treated road surface.

We are aware that due to the recent rain a repair on a safety defect on the A38 Pawlett has not been possible. To help keep traffic flowing both sets of traffic management will be manned continually.
