A local author talk with Caroline Newark will be hosted at Bridgwater Library.
Scheduled for Friday, November 15, from 2pm to 3.30pm, the event is free, but booking is essential.
The Somerset author will share tales of "deception, desertion, fraud, bigamy, adultery, shotgun weddings, and murder" discovered while researching her family tree.
Ms Newark's ancestors' antics form the basis of her books.
For those interested in hearing more about her findings, reservations can be made by emailing brwlib@somerset.gov.uk, messaging Somerset Libraries Bridgwater on Facebook, calling 0300 123 2224, or speaking to staff at Bridgwater Library.
