Omid Djalili has announced a show in Bridgwater as part of his new world tour.
The comedian will bring his brand-new show, Namaste, to The McMillan Theatre on January 25, 2025.
Mr Djalili's world tour kicks off in Canada on May 23, before heading to New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, and the USA.
His UK performances will begin in October.
Namaste, a Sanskrit word meaning "bowing to you," is often linked with peace and tranquillity, but Mr Djalili's new show is set to take a different approach.
The comedian plans to channel his inner anger in response to various global issues such as climate change, terrorism, financial instability, oceanic pollution, and depletion of natural resources.
The show promises a wave of comedic commentary on the current state of the world, with no government or tyrant spared from his satire.
Mr Djalili, a favourite at the Edinburgh Festival, has previously won the Time Out Award for Best Stand Up and was nominated for the Perrier Award.
He also won the Edinburgh Award Panel Prize.
Beyond comedy, Mr Djalili has been recognised for his acting prowess.
He bagged a Best Actor award at the Turin Film Festival for his lead role in The Infidel.
His career also spans Hollywood, television, and the West End stage, with critically acclaimed performances in Oliver! and Fiddler on the Roof.
Most recently, Mr Djalili starred in the award-winning movie Journey To Bethlehem as one of the Wise Men and appeared as Bridget Christie’s husband in Channel 4's highly praised series, The Change.
He also hosted two series of Winning Combination on ITV1.
