For this year’s Bridgwater Carnival, Cavaliers CC have embraced the bright and colourful culture of the Iberian Peninsula with their ‘Spanish’ theme. Inspired by the country of Spain, which itself hosts an annual carnival before the Catholic season of Lent, members of Cavaliers CC chose to channel their inner party spirit.
The second-oldest carnival club in Bridgwater is looking forward to this year’s carnival. A spokesperson for the club said: “Our cart this year will be the fullest it has been for many years, which shows we are growing and improving every year.”
“There are so many people that help and support us throughout the year, in so many ways and without them we wouldn't be able to do what we love. So, to everyone that has helped and supported us, we thank you. A special thank you goes to our headquarters, The Railway Club, and Sharon and all the team that make us feel very welcome and supported.”
The club’s spokesperson also added: “To keep carnival alive, we need the clubs, to keep the clubs alive we need you. If you have seen the carnival or concerts and want to get involved, we would love to hear from you. Please drop us an email at: cavalierscarnivalclub@hotmail.com”
