Members of Pentathlon CC turn ‘Outlaws’ in this year’s Bridgwater Carnival, with their Wild West themed cart.
The theme is inspired by scenes from the Wild West, and the cart will portray an impressive train heist, with outlaws robbing a locomotive, and train carriages filled with passengers, show girls and some gold.
Pentathlon CC’s entry this year is dedicated to the memory of Margaret Marson. Margaret, or Mags as many knew her, was a Life Member and led the dress making team for many years.
A spokesperson for the club said: “Her team won many awards, and the costumes on each entry were her pride and joy, ensuring everyone looked exactly how they should. Mags also took new members under her wing, made them feel welcome. A social butterfly, Mags never turned down an evening out and was a true lady. She is very much missed by the club, and everyone who knew and loved her.”
They added: “The club would like to extend their thanks to John and Jayne for being great landlords, Daniel, Cheryl and the staff at the walnut tree hotel for being wonderful hosts and to Nicky and Steve at the Admirals Landing for their time and generosity.”
