A MOTORCYCLIST was involved in a collision with a car before midday today (October 31, 2024).
The incident took place near Bridgwater, just before 11.50am on the M5 motorway near Junction 23. Junction 23 is flanked by two trunk roads – the A38 Bristol Road and the A39 Bath Road – both of which are experiencing heavy traffic because of associated roadworks.
In a statement, an Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a two-vehicle collision on the M5 northbound near junction 23 just before 11.50am on Thursday 31 October.”
“A motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a car. The rider has gone to hospital with injuries not currently believed to be either life-threatening or life-changing. Recovery of the vehicles is underway.”
