HUNDREDS of people remembered the fallen at King’s Square in Bridgwater for Remembrance Day 2024.
The service started at 10.50am as crowds gathered around the War Memorial for a two-minute silence at 11am. A Remembrance Service followed at St. Mary’s Church.
A wreath laying ceremony took place at the War Memorial, with Bridgwater Mayor, Cllr Jacqui Solomon, in attendance. Members of the public were also able to lay their own floral tributes in memory of the fallen.
More than three hundred men from Bridgwater lost their lives in World War One and their names are engraved on the War Memorial in King’s Square.
