A MOTORIST has admitted breaching a court order previously imposed for three motoring offences.
Darren Wilkinson, 34, of Cossington Lane, Cossington, skipped three unpaid work appointments in September without a reasonable excuse, Taunton Deane and West Somerset Magistrates’ Court was told.
He had received the original sentence as part of a community order in February this year.
Magistrates heard that Wilkinson was previously sentenced by the court for being in charge of a transit van while over the drink drive limit.
He was also found to be in charge of the vehicle while over the legal driving limit for two controlled drugs, namely cocaine and the cannabinoid THC.
Those original offences had been committed in Salmon Parade, Bridgwater, on March 16 last year.
At the end of his latest court appearance, he was handed a fresh community order and told he must carry out 125 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay £60 court costs
