A CAMPSITE in Bridgwater has been highly commended at a camping and glamping awards ceremony and named runner-up for Best Campsite in the South West 2024.
Burton Springs, in Bridgwater, is a friendly fishing and holiday site, just under an hour from Cheddar and Glastonbury
The site has gained an impressive 4.85 stars out of five.
After visiting the Burton Springs camping site, 99% of visitors recommended their stay there.
Spread over 13 acres, the site has three fishing lakes and is the "perfect location" to explore the Quantocks and surrounding beaches on the West Somerset coastline.
Choose between spacious pitches for tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans or, if you want to try glamping, book a cosy Lotus Bell Tent or camping pod.
The site is open from February 1 until December 2, except for bell tents, which are available from May to September.
Somerset was represented well at the awards with Cheddar Bridge Touring Park named the Best Adult Only Campsite in the South West.
Old Oaks Touring Park in Glastonbury was also runner up of the Best Adult Only Campsite in the South West.
