THE annual Bridgwater Together festival returned to the town centre marking its 10th Anniversary since its inception, with over 500 attendees.
The festival, which celebrates the diverse communities of Bridgwater, took place on Saturday, November 16, 2024. The event this year took place at the newly renovated Town Hall and Engine Room from 10.30am to 3pm.
It was a day filled with vibrant activities, including live music, dance, food and drink, family and children’s activities, workshops, stalls and face painting. Bridgwater Together prides itself on being include to everyone, regardless of culture, gender, orientation, belief, religion or age.
Bridgwater Mayor, Jacqui Solomon, and Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner, Clare Moody, officially opened the event. The pair also participated in a Bollywood dance with Avtar Indian Dance South West. Morrisons provided a generous donation of tea, coffee, soft drinks, crisps and biscuits.
In a statement, Bridgwater Together Committee said: “The Committee says huge thank you to everyone for making the event so successful. Special Thanks to Cllr Jacqui Solomon and Avon & Somerset Police & Crime Commissioner Clare Moody for joining us for the day and engaging with communities.”
