Sedgemoor Crematorium has opened its doors to residents for its annual Christmas Carol and Memorial Service.
It is set for Wednesday, December 11, at 6pm, and it will offer families and friends a chance to come together to remember loved ones during the festive season.
The event will feature a selection of readings and popular Christmas carols, as well as a live performance by Bridgwater-based all-female vocal harmony group, The Vixens.
Light refreshments will be available to attendees.
The service is free to attend, and no advance booking is required.
Laura Williams, manager at Sedgemoor Crematorium, said: "Our annual Christmas Carol and Memorial Service is a lovely and meaningful way to bring people together to reflect and honour their loved ones during the festive season.
"Visitors to the event will be able to write messages on memory tags, which will be hung on our Christmas tree, and can also place Christmas cards into our Letters to Loved Ones memorial post box.
"We hope that everyone who joins us will find comfort in being able to pay tribute to their loved one during the service whilst being in the company of other people who are in a similar situation."
The event is open to anyone who lives, works, or is visiting the communities surrounding the crematorium.
For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed via Westerleigh Group’s multimedia partner, Obitus.
The service can be accessed by visiting https://christmas.obitus.com/, entering the username 'sedgemoor' and the password 'sleigh'.
Furthermore, for those not able to watch it live, or those who attend but would like to see it again, the service will be available to view online as a ‘watch again’ option, using the same details, from Friday, December 13, for 28 days.
Sedgemoor Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 40 sites across England, Scotland, and Wales.
