A CRIMINAL Behaviour Order has been slapped on a prolific Bridgwater shoplifter.
Under the two-year order issued at Taunton and West Somerset Magistrates’ Court, Louis Wood, 24, of no fixed address, must place any items he wants to buy from a shop into a basket or trolley until they have been bought.
A number of other restrictions were imposed following Wood’s recent conviction for four counts of shoplifting and a further charge of possession of a knife in public.
Wood, who appeared before magistrates via a live link from prison, is also banned from entering any business or retail premises on Bridgwater Retail Park, including The Clink and The Leggar.
Magistrates also told him he cannot enter any business or retail premises where he has received a written banning notice at any time.
He must also leave any business or shop when asked to do so by staff, security guards, police or Police Community Support Officers.
