OVER 200 businesspeople attended this year’s Sedgemoor Business Excellent Awards, with Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce proud to have been the main sponsors.
The annual event took place at The Canalside in Bridgwater and celebrated the incredible local business community, with awards in 17 categories including Best Employer, Innovative Business of the Year, Community Engagement and Not for profit/Charity of the Year.
General Manager, Roger Smith said “These awards provide an opportunity to Celebrate, Inspire and Recognise the local business community and it was fantastic to see so many incredible entries again this year.”
“The judges had the unenviable task of choosing the winners, with over 10 of the categories coming down to just 1 or 2 marks and commented on the remarkable quality of all of the finalists so it truly was a night where everyone was a winner. I would like to thank all of our sponsors for their continued support”, Roger added.
Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Matthew Ruddle added: "The Sedgemoor Business Excellence Awards really are the jewel in our crown as a chamber, and it’s so important to celebrate the success of businesses in this area.”
“Sedgemoor is the epicentre for business in Somerset, and it really shows with the quality and diversity of the entries, shortlist and winners of the awards. Once again, a huge thank you to our sponsors and everyone who had a hand in making it such a fantastic night, especially the chamber team, Roger, Ambre, Roxy, Filip and Pietersen”, Matthew ended.
