CHOCOLATE was the theme at Wembdon Ladies' night on Friday, January 22.
Chairman Ann Collett welcomed the speakers, specialist chocolate makers since 2000 Lorna and Richard Robbins, of Nutcombe Chocolates in Minehead.
They set up an impressive display of their selections in attractive packets with the beautiful chocolates always visible. With projected photos they explained how the chocolates were hand made, machines were only used for blending the ingredients and controlling the temperature, which is very important.
They only use the purest and best ingredients and have responded to local demand for special events, making chocolate train lollies for steam train outings, dogs and cows for charity events, pigs for farmers markets etc.
Recently they have opened a shop in Dunster and, having tasted free samples, ladies made a mental note to seek out the Chocolate House before very long!
Chris Pashley gave the vote of thanks.
