THE Pawlett Summer Flower Show took place on Saturday, August 14.
The children were able to walk through the village in their fancy dress costumes and then onto the village green where the judging took place. The overall winner of the fancy dress competition was Kallem Holden who was dressed as a pirate.
There was just enough time for a few children’s games on the green before a short shower of rain.
With over 50 different exhibitors the show was a great success and was well supported with plenty of people coming to view the exhibits on display that afternoon.
Especially pleasing was the increase in the number of children’s exhibits and fancy dress entries. Music was provided by The Burtle Band in the marquee while cream teas and refreshments were served inside the village hall.
