HINKLEY Point B workers have this week handed over a bumper cheque for nearly £2,000 to the Help for Heroes charity.
Power station staff dug deep over the festive period as proceeds from raffles and contributions from free Christmas lunches at the site went to the organisation which supports injured soldiers.
Peter Lancaster from Help for Heroes said: "This is a brilliant gesture from the Hinkley Point B employees.
“Christmas is a time for thinking of others and they certainly put this into practice by donating so generously to Help for Heroes.
“It is hugely appreciated and adds to the considerable amount previously donated by the workers there."
