HM Revenue and Customs says fraudsters are sending e-mails telling people they are due a tax rebate with a click through link to a replica HMRC website.
They are then asked to provide their credit card details before money is taken from their account. HMRC has shut down 99 websites responsible for the scam in the last three months.
