MECCA Bingo club in Bridgwater has helped to raise more than £280,000 for their chosen charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The club was among 103 across the country to take part in fundraising activities for the charity, which provides free nursing care for terminally ill people.
The total raised is £287,000 – £87,000 more than the original target. The funds raised will help provide 14,000 hours of Marie Curie home nursing care.
Chris Garrett, area manager for Mecca Bingo, thanked staff and customers for their work and donations.
