POLICE have been giving talks and prizes to pupils at Bridgwater’s St John and St Francis School as part of their ‘Keep Safe’ campaign.
PC Pauline Marlow and PCSO Mike Shaw held a competition to design posters on the theme following their school visit.
And they gave out fluorescent rucksacks to the winners, with money donated by Tesco, Spar and Bower Inn, to help keep them safe during the dark nights.
PC Marlow said: “We felt with the dark nights and part of the ‘Keep Safe’ campaign they would be relevant prizes.
“It’s important that the school, community and police work together to keep our young people safe.”
