Recycling centres to close two days a week
SEDGEMOOR’S recycling centres will close for two days a week from April in a cost-cutting move.
The centres at Saltlands Avenue, in Bridgwater, and Isleport Business Park, Highbridge, will close on Wednesday and Thursday.
However, the Somerset Waste Partnership offered a glimmer of light for the four recycling centres, including the one in Greylake, near Middlezoy, which had been earmarked for closure.
It said talks were ongoing about finding other ways of saving money and a report would be made about the options available on March 25.
