Ceremony in High Street
LAST week the Mercury asked readers to send in their old photographs, and we have had an astonishing response.
Coming soon will be a special supplement packed with dozens of photographs taken in the area in years gone by, but next week’s Mercury will offer a small taster of what to expect.
Reader Eileen Milton brought in a selection of photos, some of which will appear in next week’s paper.
Her photo here shows what appears to a Remembrance ceremony in High Street - but Mrs Milton does not know when it was taken or what exactly the event was.
