CHRISTMAS fairs at Maunsel House in North Newton have raised a total of £26,000 for charity over the last four years.
The money has been donated to MacMillan Cancer Support. Kirsty Hughes and Sir Benjamin Slade, from the house, presented a cheque to Sue Bridger and Claire Allen, from the charity.
Claire Coles, area fundraising manager for MacMillan, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the amount raised over the years. They have the perfect venue for the event.”
The most recent fair was a record breaker in terms of the number of people attending and the amount of money raised.
