A PUBLIC consultation into controversial plans for a wind farm near Woolavington got underway today.
EDF Energy Renewables wants to build five turbines on Withy Farm, between the former Royal Ordinance Factory and the Huntspill River.
The application also asks for associated infrastructure which includes access roads, a control building, and a permanent anemometer mast.
The consultation period runs for 21 days.
The details of the new application, including the exact locations of the proposed wind turbines and infrastructure can be seen at www.sedgemoor.gov.uk or at the council’s offices at Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater,.
People can comment on the application and by emailing development.management@sedgemoor.gov.uk or by letters marked for the attention of Development Management quoting reference number 54/11/00004/CG.
