TWO cultures collided at the Rosary Nursing Home in Bridgwater yesterday.
Staff and residents celebrated all things Irish for St Patrick's Day before bringing a taste of Asia to mark the Indian spring festival of Holi.
There was an Irish bar serving up pints of Guinness followed by Indian attire, music and a curry for residents.
Lyn Taylor, manager, said: “There's no reason to restrict things to English celebrations; St Patrick's Day and Holi are very different events celebrated thousands of miles apart.
“We thought why not bring them together at our home by celebrating both.”
