A DATE has been set for the sentencing of Philip Walker, the former deputy head teacher of Brymore School of Rural Technology, in Cannington, who has pleaded guilty to 14 sexual offences involving children.
At Bristol Crown Court last month, Walker (pictured), of Cannington, pleaded guilty to 12 indecent assaults on girls, between 1978 and 1988, and another two against boys, between 1994 and 1996.
He denied a further ten counts of indecent assault and three charges of sexual assault; the Crown Prosecution Service says those charges will remain on file.
Before releasing Walker on bail at last month’s hearing, a judge warned him he faced jail, and April 26 has now been confirmed as the date for sentencing.
