THIS summer, Victoria Park Bowls Club is playing it’s part in ‘Somerset Moves’, the county wide strategy to enable people to move more, live more active lives and by making it more easy to access sport activities.

The bowls club is encouraging people to come and play bowls by opening the bowling club and green on Wednesday evenings from the June 5 at 6:00pm.

There will be free use of any equipment including bowls - or ‘woods’ as they are called, (even though they are not made of wood any more) - will be available to use.

Smaller size bowls are available for young people and junior bowls for children.

Members of the club who are qualified coaches will be there to show you how to play the game.

Members of the club are able to play in competitive matches against other clubs.

Bowls is a team game but at Victoria Park it is also a club game where playing together is part of that fun.

If you want to play in any competitions, Victoria Park Bowls Club is offering a reduced membership fee this summer.

Victoria Park Bowls Club will also be open to the public on Saturday, June 8, during the SEED Community Music Festival at Victoria Park.
