Bridgwater A XI advanced to the next round of the SCF Intermediate Cup after beating Taunton St Andrews 2nd XI by 50 runs.
The victory came after James Salt and Danny Rossiter, the Bridgwater's openers, put an impressive 87 on the board for the first wicket.
The home side culminated on a total of 171-5 from their 20 overs.
Despite a strong effort from the TSA top order, the opposition could only manage 121 runs by the 16th over.
The now strong contenders, Bridgwater, will, in the next round, face the winner of either Taunton Deane 2nd XI and Staplegrove away from home.
Last season Bridgwater reached the semi-finals and appear determined to go beyond that this year.
