Bridgwater United Community Sports Trust (BUCST) has launched an online auction site to raise vital funds.

The community interest company ensures people have access to physical activity and wellbeing provision.

BUCST's new online auction site will sell signed sports memorabilia to support its community projects.

Head of community Daniel Rogers detailed the success of the fundraising initiative and the importance of these funds.

He said: "Our online auction site has been hugely popular so far, with sports fans getting the chance to bid on pieces of interesting memorabilia.

"We’ve also had the privilege of auctioning off pieces of sporting history.

"Fundraising is absolutely essential to how we operate, and the proceeds from our auction will be put towards the ongoing running costs for our activities."

Mr Rogers voiced a call for local businesses to support their efforts by donating prizes to the auction.

He continued: "Without the support of the community here in Bridgwater, we wouldn’t be able to offer so many opportunities for people to work on their mental and physical wellbeing.

"If you are able to support us, we’d love to hear from you."
