It was a triumphant weekend of cricketing for Bridgwater Cricket Club.
They not only enjoyed an emphatic league win over Taunton St Andrews, but also won the National T20 Somerset round.
Bridgwater took full advantage of winning the toss at the Wyvern Club on Saturday.
After early difficulties, Harminder Singh and Jake Lintott built a partnership that laid the foundation for the innings.
Singh made an aggressive 35 before falling with the score on 70.
This brought Charlie Sharland and Lintott together for an impressive 104-run third-wicket partnership before Sharland was dismissed at 174 for three.
Bridgwater's captain, Eckland, joined the game and immediately made a mark, adding 57 runs before Lintott fell for a well-executed 102.
Eckland's performance was key to disrupting the Saints' attack and leading Bridgwater to a commanding 306 for eight.
Post-tea, Bridgwater was disciplined with their bowling as Matt Burton and Luke Pearson-Taylor excelled.
Pearson-Taylor made the crucial breakthrough, brilliantly caught Harding out at slip with assistance from Mike Coles.
Dan Williams also played an excellent game, bowling his 10 overs straight through.
Saints were left struggling at 94 for three from 24 overs.
They couldn't bounce back, and Bridgwater took regular wickets leaving Saints at 178 all out.
On Sunday, Bridgwater triumphed over both Clevedon and Bath to secure their place in the WEPL Finals day on July 14.
A mammoth 224 runs were scored against Clevedon, led by Luke Pearson-Taylor, James Regan, Ryan Thorpe, and Alex Eckland.
Despite New Zealander Bayley Wiggins' impressive solo effort, Bridgwater won by 54 runs.
Bridgwater's dominant performance continued in the final against Bath.
Bath were wiped out for just 81 runs.
Matty Burton demolished the top order, and Jake Lintott terminated the tail.
Club openers Pearson-Taylor and Regan were in top form, leading Bridgwater to a remarkable 10-wicket win.
A Bridgwater Cricket Club spokesperson issued their thanks to match ball sponsors TMB Patterns Ltd and Travel Sponsors Dean Motors.
Bridgwater will return to the Parks for next weekend's fixture, where they host third-placed Burbage and Easton Royal.
