Central defender, Libby Gimson has signed a two-year contract which keeps her at the club until 2026.
The 18-year-old joined the club in 2021 and made her first team debut after impressing in the clubs development phases.
Gimson, has had experience in youth England camps at a younger age during her time as a Plymouth Argyle player, whilst also playing in the Devon FA Girls Centre of Excellence.
At 15, the defender made the move to Bridgwater, where Libby and her team went on to win the U16 county cup, whilst also being undefeated in the league campaign, before a step into the U21 team, which shortly lead to a call up to first team football.
After securing a two-year deal, Gimson said, “I am delighted to have signed a contract for Bridgwater. I am looking forward to helping the club achieve their goals for this season and the coming seasons.”
First team manager, Grant Fisher said, ““I’ve known Libby since she was 10 years old and to see her journey has been remarkable.
“Libby’s focus and hunger along with her talent, makes her a fearless and super talented player and she has matured into a leader of the group.“
