Records were broken at the National Age Group Championships & British Championships.

The season-ending event, held from October 4 to October 6 at Telford's International Centre, saw trampolinist Corey Walkes, a Quayside gymnast and Paris Olympic reserve, make history.

He became the first athlete to perform a tucked quadruple somersault in the Senior Men's event.

The next day, Walkes teamed up with Paris Olympian Zak Perzamanos for the Men's synchronised event.

Together, they reportedly became the first synchronised pair to execute a quadruple somersault.

Walkes then pushed the boundaries further, performing a piked quadruple somersault in the Senior Men's Individual British Championships, marking another first for Great Britain.

Quayside Gymnastics Club saw a string of notable successes during the weekend.

These included Walkes becoming the Senior Men's Age Group Champion.

Theo Gundry White and Tom Gibson from Liverpool won the Senior Men's Synchronised event, while Jamie Pugsley and Elliot Hares from Apollo took the top spot in the Junior Men's Synchronised.

DJ McArthur and Mike Oleksiyevetes secured second place in the Junior Men's Synchronised event.

Mia Youé and Isabelle Curd finished fourth in the Youth Women Synchronised event.

Quayside Gymnastics Club will now focus on the English Championships, taking place from October 18 to October 20 at the International Centre in Telford.

The club is hoping to build on the successes achieved at the national championships.
