Bridgwater United Women have confirmed the signing of centre forward Connie Pengelly from Cheltenham Town.
With eight league games complete, Bridgwater United have added Connie Pengelly to its ranks.
Pengelly, will be no stranger to the United team, as she faced off against them last season, whilst becoming champions of the FA Womens National League with former club Exeter City. In that period, the forward netted an impressive fourteen times from nineteen appearances.
The 20-year-old who is based on the Somerset-Devon border, made a move to higher tier football with Cheltenham Town, but joins Bridgwater, who have found the back of the net sixteen times in ten games so far.
On joining Bridgwater United, Pengelly said, "I am buzzing to join Bridgwater and this exciting squad. I am hoping to come in, score goals and regain my confidence.
"The vision of the club is very exciting and I am pleased to be a part of this and keen to get going."
Head Coach, Steve Perkins said: "Signing a player of Connie’s capabilities and a proven goalscorer is another example of the direction the club is moving in and we are really excited to have Connie on board.
"We are assembling a really talented young squad, who are eager to push on to take the club to the next level."
