BRIDGWATER & Albion and North Petherton do not have to wait long to resume hostilities... as they meet again tomorrow in the Somerset Cup.
Pethy won last Friday's league match 9-7, but this time it is Albion who have home advantage, with the match kicking off at 3pm at College Way.
Both teams are likely to rotate their squads for the match and offer opportunities for different players to impress.
Pethy team manager Andrew Ford said: “Our main focus is the league but we will still pick a strong squad.
“We will approach it with a similar attitude to last week and hope for more of the same.”
Albion's director of rugby Geoff Sluman commented: “We respect the cup competition and have been regular participants - players enjoy a good cup run and we would like to enjoy that this season.
“However we do have to be mindful though to make the best use of our full squad and not over-play some players.
“Friday’s fixture was a physical encounter and there are a few players with battered and bruised bodies.
“Our 2nd XV fixture away to Keynsham was cancelled at the weekend and they do not have a scheduled fixture this coming weekend either.
“Therefore, if we do not play some squad players next week, we could have some players who do not play for three weeks and others who have played every week.
“We have to consider this and also use the cup competition for our up-and- coming players to gain valuable experience of playing in pressure games without risking league results."
