NORTH Petherton CC was well beaten at the weekend away from home against North Perrott.
The home side won the match in the WEPL Somerset division by 189 runs and the result leaves North Petherton rock bottom of the table.
After winning the toss, North Perrott elected to bat first and would go on to set the target of 270 runs for 5 wickets after 50 overs.
Opener George Retter smashed 95 runs off 110 balls to help get his side on the front foot.
In reply, North Petherton really struggled to find momentum against a strong bowling attack and come the middle of the 25th over they were all out for 81 runs.
All in all a tough day at the office for the North Petherton side.
They will look to bounce back next weekend when the face Wellington CC away from home.
