Bridgwater Sunday League: Bridgwater Wolves 0-3 Spirit FC
THE poor weather heavily affected the Bridgwater Sunday League as only one game was able to be played.
That game featured Bridgwater Wolves and Spirit FC. The latter winning the game by three goals to nil.
The scoreline would suggest an easy win for the league leaders however that was not the case as both sides created chances, just Spirit were better at taking them.
The result sees Spirit go further in front at the top of the league table, seven points ahead now.
In the match, goals came from Tyne Govier from the penalty spot and Darren Wickham scored two in a man of the match performance.
The rest of the league return to action this coming weekend, weather persisting of course.
Bridgwater Wolves host Ramblers, Burnham United Sunday take on Highburn Athletic at home, and Highbridge Warriors FC face Puriton in Pawlett.
Spirit will look to extend their lead further with their match at home against Nether Stowey .
