Uhlsport Somerset Division One: Middlezoy Rovers Reserves 1-3 Staplegrove
AT the weekend, high flying Middlezoy Rovers Reserves were defeated at home by the in form Staplegrove side.
The match in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division One ended 1-3 in favour of the visiting Staplegrove.
The result leaves Middlezoy Reserves in sixth place, while Staplegrove go top of the table.
All eyes were on this match after the Middlezoy Rovers First team match away against Hengrove Athletic was postponed.
The First team are next in action at home on Tuesday (November 21) night, when they host Barnstaple in the Les Phillips Cup.
Back to the Reserves match, where Zac Ryder scored the home sides only goal in the match.
A spokesperson from the club said after the defeat: "A disappointing result for Zoy as they never really got going.
"Zoy had their chances to get more from the game however Staplegrove were more clinical and wanted it more on the day. Reaction needed next week."
Next up for the Reserves is an away trip to Yatton & Cleeve United on Saturday, November 25.
