England Mixed Cup Round: Bridgwater 5-1 Sidmouth & Ottery
BRIDGWATER Hockey Club's Mixed team have progressed in the England Mixed Cup after a big win in Round One over Sidmouth & Ottery HC.
The match ended 5-1 to Bridgwater who put in a strong performance throughout to earn the victory.
Goal scorers in the match were Charles Grossey and Lucy Burridge who both scored twice and the other goal came from a great Ash Woolmington strike.
The mixed team is commonly referred to as 'The Smelly Reds' at the hockey club, and player of the match went to Max Syvret for his solid and calm performance at the back.
Afterwards, the Club said: "Congratulations to our Smelly Reds who put in a cracking performance away to Sidmouth & Ottery today! It was a great game all round, and the team came away with a 5-1 victory!
"A huge thank you to the travelling support today! On we march to the next round!"
