TWO students from Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) have been selected for the prestigious England Colleges National Squad.

Representing Team BTC Men’s football are Isaac Finch and Jack Hooper and they will join England Colleges on an international tour to Italy.

Isaac is a student of Sports Coaching, and Jack is studying Sports & Exercise Science,  and both have demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication to reach this significant milestone.

Their selection now grants them the honour of representing England in upcoming games, including an international tour to Italy.

The duo's first match will be against Future Elite Sports at Beaconsfield FC, followed by a game against Forest Green Rovers at Cirencester Town FC. Additionally, they will participate in a two-day training camp at St George’s Park, England’s National Football Centre, culminating in a match against England’s Independent Schools Team.

Mo Hopkins, Team BTC Football performance & development manager, said: "The whole team has worked extremely hard over the Pre-Season. They play in the Southwest Counties Youth League and the top tier of College football.

"The boys have put in several outstanding performances for both our U18’s, College team and had a fantastic FA Youth Cup run. Over recent years, it’s been great to have several of our students represent their country at College level, and not only in football.

"Jack & Isaac are the players currently receiving recognition, and they would agree that the entire team is a part of this success.”
