IN what was another weather affected weekend of action in the Bridgwater Sunday League, two games were able to go ahead.
Both fixtures were in different cup competitions though as no league football was played.
First up, in the Bill Brown Cup, Spirit FC defeated New Foresters 3-1 in the cup match.
The away team actually went a goal in front early in the match but after Spirit woke up they began to control the match.
Darren Wickham levelled the scores before adding a second for himself later in the match while Joshua Ford scored the other goal.
Elsewhere, in the Geoff Harvey Cup, Highbridge Warriors FC lost at home, 1-3 against Nether Stowey Sunday.
Archie Rich scored one goal and off the bench Bertie Kelly scored twice for Nether Stowey.
Last weekend, the New Foresters defeated Bridgwater Wolves Adult Sunday 6-5 in what was the last league fixture played.
