IT has been a week of mixed results for the players at Bridgwater Blackhawks Basketball Club.

First up the Blackhawks travelled to Torbay Tigers and were beaten 80-55 in what was a difficult match.

The hosts were able to control the game as Bridgwater were missing a few key players.

However the following day, the Blackhawks took on Taunton Dragons and won 69-61 in the Somerset Basketball match.

In that game, the top scorers for Blackhawks were M Beardshaw with 16 points, A Kugeliavicius with 13, and S Alavocius with 12.

A club spokesperson said: "A tough journey to Torbay ended in a disappointing result with key players missing, but our spirits soared as we secured a victory in the Somerset league the Evening after.

"Time to regroup and refocus for the upcoming clash against local rivals Bridgwater Bucs in the Exeter league. Keep pushing lads!"
